At The People Development Team we strive to identify funding solutions that provide organisations with financial support to achieve their training and development goals.

Our current funding opportunities are listed below:

Response to redundancy

We are able to access up to £1200 funding for individuals who live or work in Bedfordshire, Cambridge, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk to support individuals who are:

• At risk of redundancy
• Have been made redundant in the last 3 months
• Have been unemployed for up to 6 months

Depending on eligibility, you will be able to have one or more of the following from us at no cost to you:

• 1 hour session with an advisor to discuss aspirations, options and training requirements
• A CV brush up
• A place on one of our ILM qualification programmes or other non accredited management programmes including:
• 2 day 'Management Essentials' course
• Senior leadership workshop
• Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 2 Award in Team Leading
• ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management
• ILM Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching

Leadership and management funding for SME organisations

Organisations with 5 - 249 employees can access this funding for the continuous professional development of a strategic manager or Director and where appropriate their teams.

Up to £1000 funding is available - the first £500 is fully funded and a further £500 is available providing it is matched £ for £ by the client organisation.

The flexibility of this funding enables you to put it towards:

• One day in-company programmes
• Executive coaching
• Career coaching workshops for leaders in education
• Accredited qualifications such as Train the Trainer
• 3 or more places on our open courses

Women and Work project

Growing Great Leaders: Research shows that UK CEOs now recognise the need for themselves and their managers to have a leadership mindset and a management skillset.

Working with a number of sector skills councils, we have developed a 3 day programme that has been successfully delivered to over 100 aspiring and current managers across the UK offering an exciting development opportunity. This can be delivered as an open or in-house (6 or more mangers required) programme.

Some sector skills councils are offering funding to enable organisations to participate. We are currently running subsidised open programmes for the following sectors:

• Environmental and land-based (subsidised by Lantra)
  Includes: agriculture (crop & livestock), environmental conservation, fencing, game and wildlife, landscape horticulture, botanic, exterior/interior and sports turf, production horticulture, land-based engineering and trees and timber.
• Energy and utilities (subsidised by EU Skills)
  Includes: power, gas, waste management, renewable energy and water.

If your organisation falls outside of these sectors, please still get in touch and we can look for other funding opportunities available.
