Who would benefit?
Every one of your employees can benefit from outplacement support. Ensuring that they all profit from such support whilst managing the stresses of redundancies can be difficult. Ask yourself the following questions to see if you are prepared to deal with the needs of your staff:
- Would you be able to spare enough time to handle workshop requests?
- Do you have the capability to support the diversity of needs required?
- Do you have the resource to deliver workshops?
- Do you have the resource to provide 1:1 support or write CVs?
Is
outplacement good for me? Read our FAQs here.
While resources can be made available, other practicalities and motivational
aspects of managing redundancies should be considered:
- Do you have more than 35 staff at risk of redundancy?
- Is the redundancy taking place in an economically challenged area?
- Does your site run a multi-shift system?
- Is your workforce unionised?
- Are you bound by tight performance deadlines prior to changes taking place, such as production or sales targets?
- Are you aiming to provide objective support to more than 80% of your workforce?
- Would you find it difficult to motivate yourself to manage the redundancy process?
If you answered ‘yes’ to at least 3 of these questions, contact the People Development Team for a free, confidential consultation about your situation.
