Leadership and Empowerment Seminar Feedback
We recently hosted a seminar specifically for public sector organisations to discuss leadership and empowerment and was joined by NHS trusts, councils, transport services, emergency services, community services and probation services for an invaluable day of discussions and ideas.
The future for public sector organisations is without doubt going to be challenging and will need leaders with the capacity and resilience to enable and drive fundamental changes that will enhance organisational effectiveness and sustainability.
The seminar included some key topics such as Total Place, the ILM's research report (Leading Change in the public sector), creative solutions and innovation (creating the right environment), empowerment for leaders (shifting the cultural mindset), and was followed by a thought provoking panel debate which included:
- Penny De Valk CEO, Institute of Leadership and Management
- Andrew Murphy Director, Kingsgate
- David Pardey Senior Manager, Research & Policy Institute of Leadership & Management
- David Amos Healthcare HR and Public Services Management Consultant
- Nick Ville Director, Ville & Co
A few quotes from delegates
