Common Ground™ Business Simulation

The most effective way of learning something, is to do it. However, sink or swim tactics do not provide the most beneficial results for either your organisation or your people. You may also need to develop existing teams or individuals to meet the challenges of new situations – change is with us constantly and our ability to adapt and create opportunity from adversity is a valuable skill. So how do you get someone to experience real business situations and genuine team working, and to meet the challenges of planned and unexpected change without throwing them in at the deep end?

Our solution is an innovative business simulation with embedded learning outcomes called Common Ground™. It is delivered in game play format, linked with specific training exercises that are then applied within the simulation.  The flexibility of Common Ground™ is such that you can take a wide variety of desired training outcomes and apply them in real time to thoroughly embed the learning.

The simulation is competitive, with two to four teams participating in a development exercise demanding all their business skills.  Common Ground™ is completely scalable – it can take place over 1 to 4 days and may be experienced on consecutive days or in modules, spread over several weeks or months according to the learning it is associated with.

Everything the teams learn can be applied within the simulation and, more importantly, will be mapped directly to real working practice within the organisation.

It is designed to be as realistic a business simulation as possible – nothing is neat and tidy; unexpected events stymie plans and even excellent preparation may yield lower than expected returns because of ‘real world’ events within the simulation. This requires each team to rethink and plan on their feet. Ultimately, the best team will be the winners.
