Role Summary:
Following the continued growth of our highly successful accredited programmes, The People Development Team (PDT) are seeking to extend our sales team to broaden our reach throughout the UK.
This role has been created specifically to drive the sales of accredited management development programmes; including Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and Chartered Institute of Management (CMI) in targeted regions. The aim is to achieve growth in business per annum through targeted marketing and solution selling to existing and new clients.
Specific Objectives:
- To follow up from PDT's marketing campaigns in order to identify opportunities and create meaningful leads which can be taken to meeting stage
- Tounderstnd in detail all features and benefits of the accredited programme product range and how they can be applied in orgnaisations, as well as actively ensuring product knowledge is up to date and shared
- To share and exchange leads and potential opportunities with other colleagues and use the internal expertise resources as appropriate
- To actively maximise all opportunities arising from Government funded programmes*, growing them into viable and sustainable commercial programmes
- To sell accredited programmes to clients through:
- engaging clients
- generating appointments
- attending meetings to follow up activities resulting from client meetings and follow up on all client issues
- compiling quality discussion documents and making appropriate proposals to clients using the knowledge and resources within the PDT team
- To engage with appropriate professional networks to create opportunities for leads and develop the PDT brand
- To identify and nurture potential national accredited accounts from the existing client base
- To attend monthly PDT meetings and Sales Work Outs
- To provide full client reporting processes and sales reports on a monthly basis
- To account manage your clients and develop new sales opportunities within those clients
Critical Success Factors:
Deliverables within 0-2 months:
- Establish relationships and generate appointments within the existing client base (typically within the 5-50K order bracket), to identify further business development opportunities
- Make volume quality calls/client contacts per day in order to generate appointments
- Develop product knowledge to the stage where you are able to talk credibly to clients about the accredited range of products
Deliverables within 2-4 months:
- Provide full Account Management service and support to existing client contacts and developing new accounts
- Growing income from our clients who are currently using funded programmes and developing opportunities for commercial accredited sales
- Follow up marketing and new leads
Deliverables within 4-6 months:
- Identify potential for larger contracts from your existing client base and actively manage to develop
- Work with the Marketing Manager/Sales Team to develop new opportunities identified in your account area
- Closing existing business
Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with reasonable flexibility for networking/client meeting opportunities.
Salary: Dependent on experience.
